The city has earned the "Gold Certificate" several times in the past few years – an award handed out by the Interior Minister, in memory of Chaim Kovarsky. The award is given to municipalities for the responsible management of the city budget and sustainable urban planning, and Beitar Ilit has won the award for eight consecutive years. In addition, the city has won several other prestigious awards and prizes.
Five Stars of Beauty
For the past thirteen years, the city of Beitar Ilit has received five out of 'Five Stars of Beauty' from the Council for a Beautiful Israel in the annual 'Beautiful Town in a Beautiful Israel' contest for its investment in quality of life, environment and aesthetics, the meticulous maintenance of the city's appearance and outstanding cleanliness, and the encouragement of urban environment development in accordance with the principles set to achieve the proper balance between urban construction and the cultivation of green lungs.
Decade of Excellence
In 2011, the city was rewarded the "Decade of Excellency" prize for getting "Five Stars of Beauty" for ten consecutive years in the annual 'Beautiful Town in a Beautiful Israel' contest.
Beauty Flag and Gold Star
In 2005, the city of Beitar Ilit won the prestigious "Beauty Flag" award, handed out by the Council for a Beautiful Israel, which is given out every five years.
Interior Minister's Prize for Water Saving
In 2002, the Beitar Ilit municipality won the Interior Minister's prize for water saving.
Knesset Speaker Prize
The municipality's security officer received the Prize of the Speaker of the Knesset in recognition for his contribution to society and services to the local community, as well as for his activities to bridge the gaps between the different segments of society.
It should be noted that during every inspection conducted by the Interior Ministry, no significant findings of deficiency have been recorded.
